An Act to apply certain Sums out of the
Consolidated Revenue Fund of New South

Wales towards the Services of the Year

1887. [25th January, 1887.]
WH E R E A S we Your Majesty 's most dut i ful and loyal in Pa r l i amen t assembled have resolved to g ran t to Y o u r Majes ty t h e

subjects

t he Member s of t he Legislat ive Assembly of N e w South W a l e s

s u m of One mill ion two hundred and seventy-live thousand pounds

t ha t is to say—

The sum of one million one hundred and fifty thousand pounds
be ing t h e sum required to defray t h e expenses of t h e various

D e p a r t m e n t s and Services of t he Colony for t h e mon ths of

J a n u a r y and F e b r u a r y or following months of t h e year one
thousand e ight hundred and eighty-seven A n d

The sum of One hundred and twenty-five thousand pounds for

t h e Services set for th in t he Schedule here to annexed

A n d whereas we desire to m a k e g o o d out of t he Consolidated R e v e n u e

F u n d of N e w South Wales the sum so granted to H e r Majesty Be it therefore enacted by the Queen ' s Most Exce l len t Majesty b y and

Assembly of N e w South W a l e s in Pa r l i amen t assembled and by the
au thor i ty of t h e same as follows :—
1. Out of t he Consolidated R e v e n u e F u n d of N e w South Wales

the re shall and may be issued and applied for or towards m a k i n g good t h e supply so resolved to be granted to H e r Majes ty for t h e said several Services t he sum of One mil l ion two hund red and seventy-five thousand pounds of which t he s u m of One mil l ion one hund red and fifty thousand pounds is to be expended a t t he rates which have been sanctioned for t h e year one thousand eight hund red and eighty-s ix inclusive of t h e a n n u a l increases on salaries for t h a t year provided

for by t h e " C i v i l Service Ac t of 1 8 8 4 " subject to t h e ra te of any

reduct ion t ha t m a y hereafter be made in t he expend i tu re of t he year one thousand e ight hundred and eighty-seven and One hund red and twenty-five thousand pounds for t he Services specified in t he Schedule

hereto annexed .
2. The Treasurer shall issue and pay t h e said s u m for t he
Services aforesaid in such m a n n e r and in such proport ions as t h e

Governor b y W a r r a n t s or Orders in wr i t ing unde r his hand a n d directed to t he said Treasurer shall from t ime to t ime order and direct A n d t he p a y m e n t s so to be made shall be charged upon and payable

out of the Consolidated R e v e n u e F u n d of t h e Colony.

3. The Treasurer shall in his accounts from t ime to t ime be allowed credit for all sums of money paid b y h i m in pursuance of such W a r r a n t s or Orders A n d t h e receipts of the respect ive persons to w h o m the same shall be so paid shall be full and valid discharges to t h e said Treasurer in passing his said accounts for such sums as shall be there in ment ioned and he shall receive credit for t he same accordingly.

SCHEDULE.

TREASURER'S ADVANCE ACCOUNT 1887—

To enable the Treasurer to make advances to Public Officers and on account of other Governments and to pay expenses of an unforeseen nature which will afterwards be submitted for Parliamentary appropriation—the whole amount to be adjusted not later than 31st December 1888
