An Act to apply certain Sums out of the Con­
solidated Revenue Fund of New South

Wales towards the Services of the years

1882 and 1883. [29th January, 1883.]
WH E R E A S we Your Majesty's most dutiful and loyal subjects the Members of the Legislative Assembly of New South Wales in Parliament assembled have resolved to grant to Your Majesty the
sum of Nine hundred and ninety-one thousand pounds that is to say—
The sum of Pour hundred and eight thousand pounds being the
sum required to defray the expenses of the various Depart­
ments and Services of the Colony from the first to the thirty-
first day of January one thousand eight hundred and eighty-
three And

The sum of Five hundred and eighty-three thousand pounds for

the Services set forth in the Schedule hereto annexed

And whereas we desire to make good out of the Consolidated Revenue Fund of New South Wales the sum so granted to Her Majesty Be it therefore enacted by the Queen's Most Excellent Majesty by and with the advice and consent of the Legislative Council and Legislative Assembly of New South Wales in Parliament assembled and by the authority of the same as follows :—
1. Out of the Consolidated Revenue Fund of New South Wales
there shall and may be issued and applied for or towards making good

the supply so resolved to be granted to Her Majesty for the said several

Services the sum of Nine hundred and ninety-one thousand pounds of which the sum of Four hundred and eight thousand pounds is to he expended at the rates which have been sanctioned for the year one thousand eight hundred and eighty-two subject to the rate of any reduction that may hereafter be made in the expenditure of the year one thousand eight hundred and eighty-three and Five hundred and eighty-three thousand pounds for the Services specified in the Schedule hereto annexed.

2 . The Treasurer shall issue and pay the said sum for the

Services aforesaid in such manner and in such proportions as the Governor by Warrants or Orders in writing under his hand and directed to the said Treasurer shall from time to time order and direct And the payments so to be made shall be charged upon and payable out of the Conslidated Revenue Fund of the Colony.

3 . The Treasurer shall in his accounts from time to time be

allowed credit for all sums of money paid by him in pursuance of such Warrants or Orders And the receipts of the respective persons to whom the same shall be so paid shall be full and valid discharges to the said Treasurer in passing his said accounts for such sums as shall be therein mentioned and he shall receive credit for the same accordingly.
