No. XIV.

An Act to apply certain Sums out of the Con­

solidated Revenue Fund of N e w South
Wales towards Services of 1879 and
previous Years and Services of the Year

1880. [18th December, 1879.]

in Parliament assembled have resolved to grant to Your Majesty the sum WH E R E A S we Your Majesty's most dutiful and loyal subjects the Members of the Legislative Assembly of New South Wales

of One hundred and eighty-five thousand pounds for Services of the year one thousand eight hundred and seventy-nine and previous years and Services of the year one thousand eight hundred and eighty as set

forth in the Schedule hereto annexed And whereas we desire to make good out of the Consolidated Revenue Fund of New South Wales the sum so granted to Her Majesty Be it therefore enacted by the Queen's Most Excellent Majesty by and with the advice and consent of the Legislative Council and Legislative Assembly of New South Wales in Parliament assembled and by the authority of the same as follows :—

1 . Out of the Consolidated Revenue Fund of New South Wales there shall and may be issued and applied for or towards making good the supply so resolved to be granted to Her Majesty for the services specified in the Schedule hereto annexed the sum of One hundred and eighty-five thousand pounds.

2. The Treasurer shall issue and pay the said sum for the services aforesaid in such manner and in such proportions as the Governor by Warrants or Orders in writing under his hand and directed to the said Treasurer shall from time to time order and direct And the payment so to be made shall be charged upon and payable out of the Consolidated Revenue Fund of the Colony.

3. The Treasurer shall in his accounts from time to time be

allowed credit for all sums of money paid by him in pursuance of such Warrants or Orders And the receipts of the respective persons to whom the same shall be so paid shall be full and valid discharges to the

said Treasurer in passing his said accounts for such sums as shall be therein mentioned and he shall receive credit for the same accordingly.
