An Act to apply certain Sums out of the
Consolidated Revenue Fund of New South Wales towards the Services of the Year
1878. [31st January, 1878.]
| WH E R E A S we Your Majesty's most dutiful and loyal subjects the Members of the Legislative Assembly of New South Wales | in Parliament assembled have resolved to grant to Your Majesty |
| the sum of Four hundred and one thousand five hundred and thirty- nine pounds that is to say— |
The sum of Three hundred and twenty-four thousand five hundred and thirty-nine pounds being the sum required to defray the expenses of the various Departments and Services of the
Colony from first to thirty-first January one thousand eight
hundred and seventy-eight and
The sum of Seventy-seven thousand pounds for services of the
year one thousand eight hundred and seventy-eight as set
forth in the Schedule hereto annexed
And whereas we desire to make good out of the Consolidated Revenue Fund of New South Wales the sum so granted to Her Majesty B e it therefore enacted by the Queen's Most Excellent Majesty by and
A with with the advice and consent of the Legislative Council and Legislative
Assembly of New South Wales in Parliament assembled and by the
authority of the same as follows :—1. Out of the Consolidated Revenue Fund of New South Wales there shall and may be issued and applied for or towards making good the supply so resolved to be granted to Her Majesty for the said several
services the sum of Pour hundred and one thousand five hundred
and thirty-nine pounds of which the sum of Three hundred and twenty- four thousand five hundred and thirty-nine pounds is to be expended at the rates which have been sanctioned for the year one thousand eight hundred and seventy-seven subject to the rate of any reduction that may hereafter be made in the expenditure of the year one thousand eight hundred and seventy-eight and Seventy-seven thousand pounds
for the services specified in the Schedule hereto annexed.2. The Treasurer shall issue and pay the said sum for the
services aforesaid in such manner and in such proportions as the
Governor by Warrants or Orders in writing under his hand and directed to the said Treasurer shall from time to time order and direct And the payments so to be made shall be charged upon and payable out of the Consolidated Revenue Fund of the Colony.3. The Treasurer shall in his accounts from time to time be
allowed credit for all sums of money paid by him in pursuance of such Warrants or Orders And the receipts of the respective persons to whom the same shall be so paid shall be full and valid discharges to the said Treasurer in passing his said accounts for such sums as shall
bo therein mentioned and he shall receive credit for the sameaccordingly.

The sum of Thirty thousand pounds to enable the Treasurer to make
Advances to Public Officers and on account of other Governments
and to pay expenses of an unforeseen nature which will afterwardsbe submitted for Parliamentary appropriation—the whole amount to be adjusted not later than thirty-first December one thousand
