Consolidated Fund Supply Act (No. 2) 1998

An Act to make interim provision for the appropriation of money out of the Consolidated Fund for the service of the financial year ending on 30 June 1999, to authorise the Treasurer to borrow money on behalf of the State and for related purposes

Be it enacted by His Excellency the Governor of Tasmania, by and with the advice and consent of the Legislative Council and House of Assembly, in Parliament assembled, as follows:

1Short titleThis Act may be cited as the Consolidated Fund Supply Act (No. 2) 1998 . 2CommencementThis Act is taken to have commenced on 1 July 1998. 3Issue, application and appropriation of $1 122 092 000 (1)  In respect of the financial year ending on 30 June 1999, the Treasurer may – (a) issue the sum of $1 122 092 000 out of the Consolidated Fund; and (b) apply that sum for the purposes specified in Schedule 1 . (2)  The sum specified in subsection (1) is appropriated. 4Power to borrow moneyThe Treasurer may borrow such money as may be required for the purposes of the State. 5Inclusion of expenditure in ordinary Appropriation ActThe Treasurer must incorporate in the estimates of expenditure from the Consolidated Fund set out in the Bill for the ordinary Appropriation Act for the financial year ending on 30 June 1999 all money issued and applied, or to be issued and applied, under this Act as if that issue and application were to be appropriated afresh by that Act. 6Consolidated Fund Supply Act 1998 repealedThe Consolidated Fund Supply Act 1998 is repealed.
