AN ACT to amend the Conservation and Land
Management Act 1984.
[Assented to 4 December 1985.]
BE it enacted by the Queen's Most Excellent Majesty, by and with the advice and consent
of the Legislative Council and the Legislative Assembly of Western Australia, in this present Parliament assembled, and by the authority of the same, as follows:—
| 1. This Act may be cited as the Conservation | Short tale. |
and Land Management Amendment Act 1985.
2. This Act shall come into operation on the day ECforTence-
on which it is assented to by the Governor.

Section 148
| amended. | 3. Section 148 of the Conservation and Land |
| Act No.126 |
| of 1984. | Management Act 1984 is amended by inserting after subsection (3) the following subsection |
(3a) The repeal of section 12A of the Wild- life Conservation Act 1950 (in this subsection called "the repeal") does not affect, and shall be deemed never to have affected
| (a) | a classification under that section, which was in force at the time of the repeal, of a nature reserve or any part thereof as a shooting or hunting area; or |
| (b) | regulations under that Act, which where in force at the time of the repeal, relating to areas so classified, |
notwithstanding that such classification is
not provided for by this Act, and
| (c) | any such classification shall operate as if it had been made under section 62 and may be amended or cancelled in accordance with that section; and |
| (d) | any such regulations shall have effect as if they had been made under section 130 and may be amended or revoked in the manner applicable to regulations made under that section. ". |
