1—Short title

These regulations may be cited as the Consent to Medical Treatment and Palliative Care Regulations 1996.

2—Commencement

These regulations come into operation on the day on which they are made.

3—Interpretation

In these regulations, unless the contrary intention appears—

the Act means the Consent to Medical Treatment and Palliative Care Act 1995.

4—Fees

The fee for making an application to the Registrar under section 14(3) of the Act to have a treatment direction or a medical power of attorney registered in the register established under that section is $55.

Revocation of regulations

The Consent to Medical Treatment and Palliative Care Regulations 1996 were revoked by Sch 2 of the Consent to Medical Treatment and Palliative Care Regulations 2004 on 1.7.2004.
