PROVISIONAL REGULATIONS UNDER THE DEFENCE ACT 1903-1910.

Regulations (Provisional) for the Conduct and Management of Government Factories and the Employment of Persons under Section 63, Sub-sections 1 and 2 of the Defence Acts—Amendment—Regulations 76 and 78.

I, THE GOVERNOR-GENERAL in and over the Commonwealth of Australia, acting with the advice of the Federal Executive Council, hereby certify that, on account of urgency, the following Regulations under the Defence Act 1903-1910 should come into immediate operation, and make the Regulations to come into operation forthwith as Provisional Regulations.

REGULATIONS (PROVISIONAL) FOR THE CONDUCT AND MANAGEMENT OF GOVERNMENT FACTORIES AND THE EMPLOYMENT OF PERSONS UNDER SECTION 63, SUB-SECTIONS 1 AND 2 OF THE DEFENCE ACTS.

Amendment.

Travelling Allowances.

Regulations 76 and 78 are hereby cancelled, and the following substituted therefor:—

“76. The following shall be the scale of travelling allowances:—

Salary.

Daily.

Daily Allowance after one week’s residence in same place.

“78. Officers or employés travelling beyond the limits of the State in which they are ordinarily employed shall receive an increase of one-fifth on the scale rates. Provided that this Regulation shall not apply to officers or employés employed at stations on or near the border of any State when temporarily transferred to stations on or near the opposite border.”
