CONCORD CEMETERY ACT.

Act No. 15, 1937.

An Act to provide for the removal of human remains and certain slabs and tombstones from a certain reserve for the preservation of graves situated within the Municipality of Concord; for the re-interment of such remains, and the re-erection of such slabs and tombstones elsewhere; and for purposes connected therewith. [Assented to, 24th November, 1937.]

BE it enacted by the King's Most Excellent Majesty, lative Council and Legislative Assembly of New South by and with the advice and consent of the Legis­ Wales in Parliament assembled, and by the authority of
the same, as follows .—

1. This Act may be cited as the " Concord Cemetery Act, 1937."

2. (1) The council of the municipality of Concord may cause the remains of all persons buried in the land described in the Schedule to this Act (so far as such remains can by reasonable diligence be discovered or identified), together with all slabs and tombstones in relation thereto to be collected with due care and removed to the Rookwood Cemetery, and shall there cause such remains to be reverently re-interred, and such of those slabs and tombstones as are reasonably capable of re- erection to be re-erected.

3. No compensation shall be payable by the said council to any person in respect of the performance of any act authorised by this Act. SCHEDULE.

( 2 ) The said council shall pay the cost of such re­

moval, re-interment and re-erection.

SCHEDULE.

ALL that piccg or parcel of land situate in the municipality of Concord

parish of Concord, county of Cumberland : Commencing on the south- eastern boundary of portion 103 of 9 acres 1 rood 20 perches granted to Adolphus Powell at a point bearing 245 degrees 42 minutes 30 seconds 223-45 links from its intersection with the south-western side of Flavoile

street and being a north-western corner of Reserve 57917 from sale for Public Recreation notified 9th April, 1925; bounded thence on the north-east, south-east, and south-west by that reserve, being lines bearing respectively 155 degrees 57 minutes 359'6 links 245 degrees 57 minutes 15T51 links and 335 degrees 57 minutes 359 links to the south-eastern boundary of portion 1 OS aforesaid; and thence on the north-west by that boundary bearing 65 degrees 42 minutes 30 seconds 151-51 links to the point of commencement; containing an area of 2 roods 7 perches and shown on plan Ms. 6281 Sy. in the Department of Lands.
