Compensation (Commonwealth Government Employees) Regulations2 (Amendment)

I, THE GOVERNOR-GENERAL of the Commonwealth of Australia, acting with the advice of the Federal Executive Council, hereby make the following Regulations under the Compensation (Commonwealth Government Employees) Act 1971.

Commencement

1. These Regulations come into operation on the date of commencement of section 15 of the Australian Airlines (Conversion to Public Company) Act 1988.

Prescribed authorities

2. Regulation 9 of the Compensation (Commonwealth Government Employees) Regulations is amended by adding at the end the following subregulation:

“(3) For the purposes of paragraph (c) of the definition of ‘prescribed authority of the Commonwealth’ in subsection 5 (1) of the Act, Australian Airlines Limited is declared to be a body corporate to which the Act applies.”.
