Made by His Excellency the Governor in Executive Council acting pursuant to sections 15 and 16 (2) of the Companies (Application of Laws) Act 1981 and sections 15 and 15A (1) of the Securities Industry (Application of Laws) Act 1980 following approval by the Ministerial Council for Companies and Securities in respect of the repeal of regulations relating to prescribed interests affecting retirement village schemes.

Repeal of regulations, and revival of
Companies Act 1981 Commonwealth text

2. (1) The Companies (Application of Laws) Regulations 1987, published in the

Government Gazette on 26 June 1987 as corrected by an erratum so published
on 3 July 1987, are repealed.
(2) Schedule 1 to the Companies (Application of Laws) Act 1981 is amended by
deleting clause 36BA.
Repeal of regulations, and revival of
Securities Industry Act 1980 Commonwealth text

3. (1) The Securities Industry (Application of Laws) (No. 2) Regulations 1987,

(2) Schedule 1 to the Securities Industry (Application of Laws) Act 1981 is amended, in clause (2) (1), by deleting paragraph (gaa) and paragraph (gb).	published in the Government Gazette on 26 June 1987, are repealed. respect of retirement village schemes
4. The Companies and Securities Industry (Retirement Villages) (Exemption)
Regulations 1985 published in the Government Gazette on 1 March 1985, are repealed.
