AN Act to amend the Companies Act, 1943-1953.

[Assented to 25th August, 1954.]

RE it enacted by the Queen's Most Excellent

Majesty, by and with the advice and consent

of the Legislative Council and the Legislative

Assembly of Western Australia, in this present

Parliament assembled, and by the authority of the

same, as follows:—

Short title

1. (1) This Act may be cited as the Companies

and citation

Act Amendment Act, 1954.

(2)

In this Act the Companies Act, 1943-1953,

Act No. 36 of 1943 as amended by Acts Nos. 31 of 1946, 32 and 84 of 1947, 47 of 1949, 21 of 1951, and 17 and 73 of 1953,

is referred to as the principal Act.

(3) The principal Act as amended by this Act

may be cited as the Companies Act, 1943-1954.

S. Slam. 2. Subsection (2) of section eighty-one of the principal Act is amended by adding after the word, "number" being the last word in the subsection, the words, "but if at any time all the issued shares in a company or all the issued shares therein of a parti-

cular class are fully paid up and rank pan passu

for all purposes, none of those shares need thereafter have a distinguishing number so long as it remains

fully paid up and ranks pan passu for all purposes

with all shares of the same class for the time being

issued and fully paid up".
