s1 3 s4 Community Services Legislation Amendment and No. 318, 2004 Repeal Regulation (No. 1) 2004 Part 1 Preliminary 1 Short title This regulation may be cited as the Community Services Legislation Amendment and Repeal Regulation (No. 1) 2004 . 2 Commencement (1) This regulation, other than section 23, commences on 1 January 2005. (2) Section 23 commences on 1 March 2005. Part 2 Amendment of Community Services (Aborigines) Regulation 1998 3 Regulation amended in pt 2 This part amends the CommunityServices(Aborigines)Regulation 1998. 4 Replacement of ss 1 and 2 Sections 1 and 2— omit, insert — ‘1 Short title ‘This regulation may be cited as the Aboriginal Communities (Justice and Land Matters) Regulation 1998 . ‘2 Definitions ‘The dictionary in schedule 2 defines particular words used in this regulation.’.

s 23 11 s 24 Community Services Legislation Amendment and No. 318, 2004 Repeal Regulation (No. 1) 2004 spent conviction means a conviction— (a) for which the rehabilitation period under the CriminalLaw (Rehabilitation of Offenders) Act 1986 has expired under that Act; and (b) that is not revived as prescribed by section 11 of that Act.’. 23 Amendment of sch 2 (Dictionary) Schedule 2, definition relevant schedule — omit, insert — ‘ relevant schedule means a schedule of this regulation other than schedule 1P or this schedule.’.
