Amendment Regulations (No. 3) 2021

Made by the Governor in Executive Council.

1.            Citation

These regulations are the Community Protection (Offender
Reporting) Amendment Regulations (No. 3) 2021.

2.            Commencement

These regulations come into operation as follows -

(a)	regulations 1 and 2—on the day on which these regulations are published in the Gazette;
(b)	the rest of the regulations - on the day after that day.

3.           Regulations amended

These regulations amend the Community Protection (Offender Reporting) Regulations 2004.
4.	Regulation 5 amended In regulation 5:

(a)	delete paragraph (c) and insert:
(c) the Child Protection (Offender Reporting and Offender Prohibition Order) Act 2004 (Queensland);
(b)	in paragraph (i) delete "(Canada)." and insert: (Canada);
(c)	after paragraph (i) insert:
(j) the Child Protection (Child Sex Offender Government Agency Registration) Act 2016 (New Zealand).

5.           Regulation 6 amended

In regulation 6:

(a)	delete paragraph (c) and insert:
(c) an offender reporting order made under the Child Protection (Offender Reporting and Offender Prohibition Order) Act 2004 (Queensland) section 13;
(b)	in paragraph (g) delete "section 9." and insert:

section 9;

(c)	after paragraph (g) insert:
(h) a registration order made under the Child Protection (Child Sex Offender Government Agency Registration) Act 2016 (New Zealand) section 9.

6. Regulation 21 amended
In regulation 21:

(a)	delete paragraph (c) and insert:
(c) a prohibition order made under the Child Protection (Offender Reporting and Offender Prohibition Order) Act 2004 (Queensland) section 13C;
(ca) a temporary order made under the Child Protection (Offender Reporting and Offender Prohibition Order) Act 2004 (Queensland) section 13J or 13K;
(b)	in paragraph (g) delete "Part 4A." and insert:

Part 4A;

(c)	after paragraph (g) insert:
(h) a community protection order made under the Community Protection (Offender Reporting) Act 2005 (Tasmania) section 1OA;

(i)   an interim community protection order made under the Community Protection (Offender

Reporting) Act 2005 (Tasmania) section 10B.
