His Excellency the Governor, with the advice of the Executive Council. has made the following Regulation under the Community Land Development Act 1989.

Explanatory note
The Community Land Development Act 1989 defines “public authority” to include the council of a local government area and a corporation prescribed by the regulations as a public authority. Public authorities have various functions under the Act with respect to the imposition of by-laws and statutory easements to facilitate the provision of services by them.
The object of this Regulation is to prescribe certain corporations that provide services (such as mail. gas. water and electricity) as public authorities for the purposes of that Act.
This Regulation is made under the Community Land Development Act 1989, including section 3 (1) (definition of public authority) and section 75.

1 Name of Regulation
This Regulation is the Community Land Development
Amendment (Public Authorities) Regulation 1998.
2 Commencement
This Regulation commences on 25 September 1998.
3 Amendment of Community Land Development Regulation 1995
The Community Land Development Regulation 1995 is amended as set out in Schedule 1.

34 Prescribed public authorities
Each of the following corporations is prescribed as a public authority for the purposes of the definition of public authority in section 3 ( I ) of the Act:

Great Southern Energy
Integral Energy Australia
