Proposed protected action ballot by employees of Westfield Shopping Centre Management Co. (Vic) Pty Ltd.
[1] This is an application for a protected action ballot of members of the Communications, Electrical, Electronic, Energy, Information, Postal, Plumbing and Allied Services Union of Australia (CEPU) employed by Westfield Shopping Centre Management Co. (Vic) Pty Ltd (Westfield).
[2] Ms Sarah Hughes, Human Resources Manager of Westfield, advised by email on 3 October 2012 that Westfield does not oppose the application.
[3] In the circumstances I have decided to determine the matter on the papers without holding a hearing.
[4] I am satisfied that the requirements in s.443(1) of the Act have been met and that, accordingly, an order must be made. An order based on the draft order provided by the CEPU has issued in conjunction with this decision.
