REGULATIONS UNDER THE COMMONWEALTH TEACHING SERVICE ACT 1972*

of the Federal Executive Council, hereby make the following Regulations under

AMENDMENTS OF THE COMMONWEALTH TEACHING SERVICE REGULATIONS
(a) by inserting in paragraph (a) of sub-regulation (1) “on oath or affirmation ” after “ evidence ”;
(b) by omitting from that paragraph “ and ” (last occurring);
(c) by omitting paragraph (b) of sub-regulation (1) and substituting the following paragraphs:
“ (b) require a person who is present at the hearing to give evidence on oath or affirmation and to produce such documents (if any) as he specifies; and
(c) administer an oath or affirmation. ”; and
(d) by omitting from paragraph (d) of sub-regulation (2) “ as required by a summons served on him ” and substituting “ in compliance with a summons served on him or with a requirement under paragraph (1) (b) ”.

“ 45. Where the Chairman of the Disciplinary Appeal Board is of the opinion that the evidence given by a person appearing at the hearing of a disciplinary appeal or a document that he has produced at the hearing is material to the appeal, the person is entitled to be paid such fees and travelling expenses as the Chairman determines in accordance with the scale in the Second Schedule to the Public Works Committee Regulations as in force from time to time.”.
