REGULATIONS UNDER THE EDUCATION ACT 1945.*

I, THE GOVERNOR-GENERAL in and over the Commonwealth of Australia, acting with the advice of the Federal Executive Council, hereby make the following Regulations under the Education Act 1945.

Amendments of the Commonwealth Scholarship Regulations.

Amount of allowance.

1. Regulation 13 of the Commonwealth Scholarship Regulations is amended by omitting paragraph (d) of sub-regulation (2.) and inserting in its stead the following paragraph:—

“(d) the amount by which money received by him in the long vacation, from all sources other than employment, calculated at a weekly rate and computed week by week, exceeds One pound ten shillings per week; and”.

Amount of allowance.

2. Regulation 14 of the Commonwealth Scholarship Regulations is amended by adding at the end thereof the following sub-regulation:—

“(3.) In computing the income of a student for the purposes of paragraphs (d) and (e) of the last preceding sub-regulation, any money earned or received by the student in the long vacation from employment shall be disregarded.”.
