PROVISIONAL REGULATION UNDER THE COMMONWEALTH PUBLIC SERVICE ACT 1902.

I, THE GOVERNOR-GENERAL in and over the Commonwealth of

Australia, acting with the advice of the Federal Executive Council, hereby certify that, on account of urgency, the following Regulation under the Commonwealth Public Service Act 1902 should come into immediate operation, and make the Regulation to come into operation forthwith as a Provisional Regulation.

AMENDMENT OF PUBLIC SERVICE REGULATION 57.

Regulation No. 57, made under the provisions of the Commonwealth Public Service Act 1902, is amended by the addition of the following :—

Where an increment has been deferred for reasons other than mis­conduct or inefficiency, the Commissioner may determine that, for purposes of seniority and future advancement, the increment shall be deemed to have been granted from the date on which, but for such deferment, it would have become due.
