REGULATIONS UNDER THE COMMONWEALTH PUBLIC SERVICE ACT 1922-1937.*

THE PUBLIC SERVICE BOARD appointed under the Commonwealth Public Service Act 1922-1937, in pursuance and exercise of the authority conferred upon it by the said Act, and subject to the approval of the Governor-General, hereby makes the following Regulations.

Amendments of the Commonwealth Public Service Regulations. 

Salaries of Officers of the Second Division.

1. Regulation 104 of the Commonwealth Public Service Regulations is amended—

(a) by omitting from the table the figures “876” and “1,000” shown opposite the office of “Deputy Commissioner, Taxation Branch, South Australia” and inserting in their stead the figures “828” and “900”, respectively.

(b)by inserting in the table, under the office of “Deputy Commissioner of Pensions—Queensland”, the following particulars:—

Salaries of officers of Third Division.

2.Regulation 105 of the Commonwealth Public Service Regulations is amended by omitting from paragraph (e)of sub-regulation (3) the figures “246” and “258” and inserting in their stead the figures “252” and “270”, respectively.

Conditions of advancement in certain positions.

3. Regulation 105A of the Commonwealth Public Service Regulations is amended by omitting the words and figures “Clerk (Legal), £306-£492” and inserting in their stead the words and figures “Clerk (Legal), £306-£510”.

Salaries of Female officers.

4. Regulation 105B of the Commonwealth Public Service Regulations is amended by omitting the words, symbols and figures:—

“Clerk.. Engineering (Victoria) „ „ 96 256 (1 position)”.

Allowances in addition to salary.

5. Regulation 105C of the Commonwealth Public Service Regulations is amended—

(a)by omitting from sub-regulation (1 ) the words “and Hobart, Tasmania,”;

(b)by omitting from that sub-regulation the words “and Launceston, Tasmania,”.

Salaries of officers of the Fourth Division.

6. Regulation 106 of the Commonwealth Public Service Regulations is amended—

(a) by omitting from, the table the office of “Assistant” and the particulars shown opposite that office;

(b)by omitting from the table the words “and Victoria” shown in the column headed “Department” opposite the office of “Assistant (Drafting)” and inserting in their stead the words “, Victoria and South Australia”;

(c) by inserting in the table, after the office of “Assistant (Drafting)”, the following office and particulars:—
