REGULATIONS UNDER THE COMMONWEALTH PUBLIC SERVICE ACT 1922-1937.*

THE Public Service Board appointed under the Commonwealth Public Service Act 1922-1937, in pursuance and exercise of the authority conferred upon it by the said Act, and subject to the approval of the Governor-General, hereby makes the following Regulations.

Amendments of the Commonwealth Public Service Regulations. 

“Salary” for purposes of furlough.

1. Regulation 62 of the Commonwealth Public Service Regulations is amended by inserting in paragraph (i), after the word and letter “Schedule ‘A’”, the words and letter “and under Schedule ‘B’”.

Proceedings after nomination.

2. Regulation 141e of the Commonwealth Public Service Regulations is amended by omitting sub-regulation (1) and inserting in its stead the following sub-regulation:—

“(1.) In the event of one candidate only being nominated the Returning Officer shall inform the Board of the name of that candidate and the Board shall, by notification in the Gazette, declare that candidate elected, but if more than one candidate is nominated the Returning Officer shall proceed to take a poll.”.
