REGULATIONS
UNDER THE COMMONWEALTH PUBLIC SERVICE ACT 1922-1941.*
THE
PUBLIC SERVICE BOARD appointed under the Commonwealth
Public Service Act 1922-1941,
in pursuance and exercise of the authority conferred upon it by the said Act,
and subject to the approval of the Governor-General, hereby makes the following
Regulations.

Amendments of the Commonwealth Public Service
Regulations.
Commencement.
1. These Regulations shall
come into operation on the eighteenth day of September, 1941.
Holiday
pay not allowed in certain cases.
2. Regulation 63a of the Commonwealth Public Service
Regulations is amended by omitting the figures “450” and inserting in their
stead the figures “462”.
Recording
and payment of overtime.
3. Regulation 67 of the
Commonwealth Public Service Regulations is amended by omitting from
sub-regulation (13) the figures “450” and inserting in their stead the figures “462
“.
Meal
allowances.
4. Regulation 68 of the
Commonwealth Public Service Regulations is amended by omitting from
sub-regulation (1) each of the amounts of salary specified therein and
respectively inserting in their stead an amount ascertained by adding £12 to
each of the amounts so omitted.

5. Regulation 70 of the
Commonwealth Public Service Regulations is amended by omitting from
sub-regulation (5) the figures “450” and inserting in their stead the figures “462”.
Basis
of calculation of allowances.
6. Regulation 75 of the
Commonwealth Public Service Regulations is amended by omitting from
sub-regulation (1) the words “the Financial
EmergencyAct1931-1934,
or to have been varied since the 1st July, 1926, by the provisions of ”.
Rates
of travelling allowances.
7. Regulation 75aof
the Commonwealth Public Service Regulations is amended by omitting from
sub-regulation (1) each of the amounts of salary specified therein and
respectively inserting in their stead an amount ascertained by adding £12 to
each of the amounts so omitted.
Allowances
to officers performing relieving duties or working within defined districts.
8. Regulation 76 of the
Commonwealth Public Service Regulations is amended by omitting from
sub-regulation (1) each of the amounts of salary specified therein and
respectively inserting in their stead an amount ascertained by adding £12 to
each of the amounts so omitted.
Fares.
9. Regulation 84 of the
Commonwealth Public Service Regulations is amended by omitting the figures “336”
and inserting in their stead the figures “348”.
Higher
duties allowances.
10.
Regulation
87 of the Commonwealth Public Service Regulations is amended by omitting from
sub-regulation (8) the figures “624” and inserting in their stead the figures “636”.
Allowance—
Sunday or holiday duty— officers receiving more than £462.
11.
Regulation
99 of the Commonwealth Public Service Regulations is amended by omitting the
figures “450” and inserting in their stead the figures “462”.
Test
of qualifications for certain officers.
12.
Regulation
112a of the Commonwealth Public Service Regulations is amended—
(a)
by omitting from sub-regulation (1) the figures “244” and inserting in
their stead the figures “256”;
(b)
by omitting from sub-regulation (5) the symbols and figures “£354-£510”
and inserting in their stead the symbols and figures “£366-£558”; and
(c) by omitting from sub-regulation (6)
the symbols and figures “£354-£510” and “£402” and respectively inserting in
their stead the symbols and figures “£366-£558” and “£414”.
Removal
of furniture.
13.
Regulation
120 of the Commonwealth Public Service Regulations is amended by omitting from
sub-regulation (1) each of the amounts of salary specified therein and
respectively inserting in their stead an amount ascertained by adding £12 to
each of the amounts so omitted.
Amendment
of Second Schedule
14.
The
Second Schedule to the Commonwealth Public Service Regulations is amended by
omitting from the words and figures in the column headed “Conditions of
Advancement of Officer” opposite the office of “Telegraphist” the figures “268”
and inserting in their stead the figures “256”.
Amendment
of Fourth Schedule.
15.
The
Fourth Schedule to the Commonwealth Public Service Regulations is amended—
(a)
by omitting from the words and figures in the column headed “Remarks”
opposite the office of “ Assistant (Meteorological Branch) “ the figures “244”
and inserting in their stead the figures “256”; and
(b) by omitting from the words and figures in that column opposite
the office of “Radio Inspector, Assistant” the figures “402” and inserting in
their stead the figures “414”.
