REGULATIONS UNDER THE COMMONWEALTH PUBLIC SERVICE ACT 1922-1941.*

THE PUBLIC SERVICE BOARD appointed under the Commonwealth Public Service Act 1922-1941, in pursuance and exercise of the authority conferred upon it by the said Act, and subject to the approval of the Governor-General, hereby makes the following Regulations.

Amendments of the Commonwealth Public Service Regulations. 

Amendment of the Second Schedule.

1.The Second Schedule to the Commonwealth Public Service Regulations is amended by omitting the office of “ Radio Inspector, Assistant, £342-£414” and the conditions of advancement shown

opposite that office and inserting in their stead the following office and conditions of advancement:—

“Radio Inspector, Assistant, £342-£450

(1) He shall not be advanced beyond £378 per annum unless—

(i) he has qualified for a first-class commercial operator’s certificate of proficiency issued under the Wireless Telegraphy Regulations; or

(ii) he has passed such examination in subjects related to radio telegraphy as is required by the Board.

(2) He shall not be advanced beyond £414 per annum unless he has passed such examination as is determined by the Board to qualify for transfer or promotion to an office of Radio Inspector.”.

Amendment of the Fourth Schedule.

2.The Fourth Schedule to the Commonwealth Public Service Regulations is amended by omitting the figures “414” shown in the column headed “Remarks” opposite the office of “Radio Inspector, Assistant” and inserting in their stead the figures “450”.
