REGULATION UNDER THE COMMONWEALTH PUBLIC SERVICE ACT 1922-1946.*

THE Public Service Board appointed under the Commonwealth Public Service Act 1922-1946, in pursuance and exercise of the authority conferred upon it by the said Act, and subject to the approval of His Royal Highness the Governor-General, hereby makes the following Regulation.

Amendment of the Commonwealth Public Service Regulations. 

Regulation 95a of the Commonwealth Public Service Regulations is repealed and the following regulation inserted in its stead:—

Allowance, ship-keeping duty; Engineers on lighthouse vessels.

“95a.—(1.) An officer occupying a position of Engineer on a lighthouse vessel may be paid an allowance equivalent to a day’s pay if he is required, whilst in port, to perform ship-keeping duty between the hours of 5 p.m. and 7 a.m.

“(2.) For the purposes of this regulation, a day’s pay shall be calculated in accordance with the following formula:—
