REGULATIONS UNDER THE COMMONWEALTH PUBLIC SERVICE ACT 1922-1947.*

THE PUBLIC SERVICE BOARD appointed under the Commonwealth Public Service Act 1922-1947, in pursuance and exorcise of the authority conferred upon it by the said Act, and subject to the approval of the Governor-General, hereby makes the following Regulations.

Amendments of the Commonwealth Public Service Regulations. 

Examination fees.

1. Regulation 170 of the Commonwealth Public Service Regulations is amended by adding at the end thereof the following sub-regulation:—

"(4) Notwithstanding anything contained in sub-regulation (1.) of this regulation, the Board may determine, in respect of any examination, that an applicant who has not attained his twenty-first birthday on the day preceding the examination for which application is made may not be required to pay the entrance fee of Five shillings.".

2.—(1.) The Fourth Schedule to the Commonwealth Public Service Regulations is amended—

The Fourth Schedule.

(a) by omitting the designation of the offices of "Accounting Machinist (Female), Grade 3" and of "Accounting

(iii) Advancement beyond £231 per annum shall be subject to evidence to the satisfaction of the Board of efficiency as a shorthand writer at the rato of 100 words por minuto

(iv) A minimum salary of £210 por annum shall be paid subject to evidence to the satisfaction of the Board of efficiency as a shorthand writer at the rato of 100 words per minute

(v) A minimum salary of £222 por annum shall be paid subject to evidence to the satisfaction of the Board of efficiency as a shorthand writer at the rato of 120 words por minute, and of ability to transcribo or type letters and the like, with duo regard to punctuation and form, with advance
