a ) by omitting from sub-regulation (1.) the figures and letters " 3s." and " 2s." and inserting in their stead the figures and letters " 4s. 6d." and " 3s.", respectively;(
b ) by omitting from sub-regulation (2.) the figures and letter " 25s." and inserting in their stead the figures and letter " 85s."; and(
c ) by omitting from sub-regulation (3.) the figures and letters " 35s." and " 25s." and inserting in their stead the figures and letters " 55s." and " 35s.", respectively.
"95c. An officer or employee stationed at a Lighthouse where educational facilities are not available may be granted au allowance by the Chief Officer in respect of each of his children between the ages of seven and sixteen years attending a State or other approved school necessitating residence away from home:
Provided that the maximum amount payable in respect of each child shall be £50 per annum, and that the allowance shall not be payable unless the mother of the child remains on the station other than in exceptional cases to be determined by the Director of Lighthouses.".

a ) by omitting from Table A in sub-regulation (1.) the figures " 258 ", " 270 ", " 282 ", " 294 " and " 306 " and inserting in their stead the figures " 264 ", " 282 " and " 300 "; and(
b ) by omitting paragraph (e ) of sub-regulation (3.) and inserting in its stead the following paragraph:—" (
e ) the minimum annual rates of pay for officers appointed under section 36a of the Act and officers appointed to or occupying any position in the Third Division who are graduates of an Australian University or any other University approved by the Board shall be as follows:—

a ) by inserting in sub-regulation (4.), after the word " University " (first occurring), the words " or Technical College "; and(
b ) by adding at the end thereof the following sub-regulation:—" (7.) Except as otherwise specially determined by the Board, the transfer or promotion of an officer to a position of Librarian (Female) shall be dependent upon evidence to the satisfaction of the Permanent Head, or the Board, as the case may be, that the officer is the holder of a suitable degree of a University recognized by the Board and has completed, or is undergoing, an appropriate course of library training.".
