REPEAL OF REGULATION UNDER COMMONWEALTH PUBLIC SERVICE ACT 1902, AND SUBSTITUTION OF NEW REGULATION THEREFOR.

IS Excellency the Governor-General in and over the Commonwealth of Australia, by and with the advice of the Executive Council thereof, has been pleased to approve of the repeal of Regulation 220, made on the 15th December, 1902, under the provisions of the Commonwealth Public Service Act 1902, and of the substitution of a new Regulation, as hereunder, in lieu thereof, such Regulation to take effect on and from the 1st September, 1903 : —
220. The following entrance fees shall be paid by applicants for examination, and a postal note for the requisite amount, made payable to the Secretary to the Commonwealth Public Service Commissioner, Melbourne, must be forwarded with each application, viz.:—For appointment to the Professional or Clerical Division, fifteen shillings; for appointment to the General Division to a position other than that of Telegraph

If an applicant fails to comply with this Regulation he will not be allowed to present himself for examination. The amount paid will be refunded if the applicant is found to be ineligible for examination.
The application must specify the centre at which the intending candidate wishes to be examined.
