NEW REGULATION UNDER THE COMMONWEALTH PUBLIC SERVICE ACT 1902, IN RELATION TO LIFE ASSURANCE.

IS Excellency the Governor-General in and over the Commonwealth of Australia by and with the advice of the Executive Council thereof, has been pleased to approve of the inclusion in the Regulations made under the provisions of the Commonwealth Public Service Act 1902 of the following Regulation, to be numbered 170a :—

170a. Every policy of assurance issued by an approved company or society under the provisions of the Act and Regulations shall be subject to the condition that the assured officer accepts all responsibility, and that the Commonwealth shall not, by reason of the approval of any company or society by the Governor-General, be held to be liable for any breach of contract of assurance.
