REGULATIONS UNDER THE COMMONWEALTH PUBLIC SERVICE ACT 1922-1934.*

THE BOARD OF COMMISSIONERS appointed under the Commonwealth Public Service Act 1922-1934, in pursuance and. exercise of the authority conferred upon it by the said Act, and subject, to the approval of the Governor-General, hereby makes the following Regulation.

Amendments of Commonwealth Public Service Regulations. 

Test of qualifications for certain offices.

Sub-regulation (1.) of regulation 112a is repealed, and the following sub-regulation inserted in its stead:—

“(1.) The transfer or promotion of an officer to any of the following offices shall be dependent upon his passing such test or examination as is determined from time to time by the Board, and upon his being within the age limits notified as a condition of such test or examination:—

Apprentice.

Architect, Cadet.

Biochemist, Cadet.

Draftsman, Cadet.

Draftsman,

Engineer.

Engineer, Cadet.

Lineman.

Locker.

Machinist (Female).

Mail Officer (where salary is in excess of £244 per annum).

Mechanic.

Mechanic, Junior.
