COMMONWEALTH PUBLIC SERVICE REGULATIONS (SIXTEENTH AMENDMENT 1920).
I,
SIR WILLIAM HILL IRVINE, Deputy of the Governor-General in and over the
Commonwealth of Australia, acting with the advice of the Federal Executive
Council, hereby make the following Regulation under the

Amendment of Commonwealth Public Service Regulations.
Regulation 163b of the Public Service Regulations is amended—
(
a )By adding at the end of sub-regulation (1) the words “or any officer occupying the position of Caretaker,” and(
b ) by omitting sub-regulation (2) and inserting the following sub-regulation in its stead:—“(2) An allowance not exceeding Ten shillings (10s.) per week may be granted on the approval of the Chief Officer to any officer of the Postmaster-General’s Department who is required, in addition to his ordinary duty, to sleep on official premises and perform night telephone duties.”
