REGULATIONS UNDER THE COMMONWEALTH PUBLIC SERVICE ACT 1902-1917.

I, THE GOVERNOR-GENERAL in and over the Commonwealth of Australia, acting with the advice of the Federal Executive Council, hereby make the following Regulations under the Commonwealth Public Service Act 1902-1917 to come into operation as from the 1st August, 1917.

Amendment of Commonwealth Public Service Regulations.

The Public Service Regulations are amended as follows:—

(1) by the deletion from Table A of Regulation 104 of the following:—

* Duties to include sorting, filing and indexing.

(3) by the repeal of Regulation 104a (1), and the insertion in lieu thereof of the following:—

104a.—(1) Notwithstanding anything contained in the preceding Regulation, the minimum salary for officers of twenty-one years of age and over who occupy any of the following positions, namely:—Boy on Launch, Checker (female), Female Assistant (Printing), Female Reader, Female Sorter, Messenger, or Telephonist, shall be £110 per annum; and the minimum salary for officers of twenty-one years of age and over occupying any such other position in Grade I. or Grade II. designated in the preceding Regulation shall be £132 per annum.

Provided that, in the case of any officer occupying any such other position as above mentioned who, though eligible for membership, is not a member, of an organization in respect of which an award has been made by the Commonwealth Court of Conciliation and Arbitration, the salary payable under this Regulation shall be £126 per annum.
