REGULATIONS UNDER THE COMMONWEALTH PUBLIC SERVICE ACT 1922–1941.*

I, THE GOVERNOR-GENERAL of the Commonwealth of Australia, acting with the advice of the Federal Executive Council, on the recommendation of the President of the Senate and the Speaker of the House of Representatives, hereby make the following Regulations under the Commonwealth Public Service Act 1922–1941.

Amendments of Commonwealth Public Service (Parliamentary Officers) Regulations. 

Commencement.

1. Regulations 2, 6 and 8 to 11 (both inclusive) of these Regulations shall be deemed to have come into operation as on and from the tenth day of July, 1941.

“Salary” for purposes of furlough.

2. Regulation 49 of the Commonwealth Public Service (Parliamentary Officers) Regulations is amended by omitting paragraph (a).

Basis of calculation of allowances.

3. Regulation 56 of the Commonwealth Public Service (Parliamentary Officers) Regulations is amended by omitting from sub-regulation (1.) the words “since the 1st July, 1931,”.

Rates of travelling allowances.

4. Regulation 57 of the Commonwealth Public Service (Parliamentary Officers) Regulations is amended by omitting the table from sub-regulation (1.) and inserting in its stead the following table:—

5. Regulation 64 of the Commonwealth Public Service (Parliamentary Officers) Regulations is amended by omitting the figures “336” and inserting in their stead the figures “348”.

6. Regulation 65 of the Commonwealth Public Service (Parliamentary Officers) Regulations is repealed.

Higher duties allowances.

7. Regulation 66 of the Commonwealth Public Service (Parliamentary Officers) Regulations is amended by omitting from sub-regulation (8.) the figures “624” and inserting in their stead the figures “636”.

Salaries of officers of Second Division.

8. Regulation 71 of the Commonwealth Public Service (Parliamentary Officers) Regulations is amended—

(a)by omitting the table in sub-regulation (1.) and inserting in its stead the following table:—

11. Regulation 75 of the Commonwealth Public Service (Parliamentary Officers) Regulations is amended by omitting from the headings to the tables in sub-regulations (2.) and (4.) the figures “612” (wherever occurring) and inserting in their stead the figures “624”.

12. Regulation 83 of the Commonwealth Public Service (Parliamentary Officers) Regulations is amended by omitting from sub-regulation (1.) the words and figures—
