REGULATION UNDER THE COMMONWEALTH PUBLIC SERVICE ACT 1922-1946.*

I, THE ADMINISTRATOR of the Government of the Commonwealth of Australia, acting with the advice of the Federal Executive Council, hereby make the following Regulation under the Commonwealth Public Service Act 1922-1946.

Amendment of the Commonwealth Public Service (Parliamentary Officers) Regulations.

Cost of living adjustment of salaries.

Regulation 75 of the Commonwealth Public Service (Parliamentary Officers) Regulations is amended by inserting after sub-regulation (5.) the following sub-regulation:—

“(5a.) Notwithstanding anything contained in this regulation—

(a) the index number for the six months ended the thirtieth day of September, 1946, shall be deemed to be 99.7; and

(b)the salaries of officers shall be adjusted accordingly as from the commencement of the first pay period beginning in the month of December, 1946, instead of as from the commencement of the first pay period beginning in the month of November, 1946.”.
