REGULATIONS UNDER THE COMMONWEALTH PUBLIC SERVICE ACT 1922-1933.

I, THE GOVERNOR-GENERAL in and over the Commonwealth of Australia, acting with the advice of the Federal Executive Council on the recommendation of the President of the Senate and the Speaker of the House of Representatives, hereby make the following Regulations under the Commonwealth Public Service Act 1922-1933.

Amendments of Commonwealth Public Service (Parliamentary Officers) Regulations.

(Statutory Rules 1931, No. 153 as amended to this date.)

1. Regulation 69 is amended by adding at the end thereof the following sub-regulation:—

“(5) An allowance at a rate not exceeding £6 per annum may be paid on the approval of the Parliamentary Head to any officer or temporary employee whose salary under these Regulations or under any determination made under the Arbitration (Public Service) Act 1920-1929 does not exceed £264 per annum. Any allowance granted under this sub-regulation shall cease to be paid on and after the first day of July, 1935.”

2. Regulation 70 is amended by inserting after sub-regulation (2) the following sub-regulation:—

“(3) An allowance at a rate not exceeding £6 per annum may be paid on the approval of the Parliamentary Head to any officer or temporary employee whose salary under these Regulations or under any determination made under the Arbitration (Public Service) Act 1920-1929 does not exceed £264 per annum. Any allowance granted under this sub-regulation shall cease to be paid on and after the first day of July, 1935.”

3. The preceding regulations shall commence on the first day of July, 1934.
