AN ACT to amend section three of the Commonwealth

Powers Act, 1945.

BE it enacted by the King's Most Excellent Majesty,by and with the advice and consent of the Legis- lative Council and Legislative Assembly of Western Australia, in this present Parliament assembled, and by the authority of the same, as follows:—

Short title. 1. This Act may be cited as the Commonwealth Powers Act, 1945, Amendment Act (No. 2), 1947, and shall be read as one with the Commonwealth Powers Act, 1945 (No. 57 of 1945, as amended by No. 31 of 1947), hereinafter referred to as the principal Act.

Citation of	2. The principal Act, as amended by this Act, may be

Amendment	3. Section three of the principal Act is amended by adding a new subsection as follows :—

(3) On the passing of the Commonwealth Powers Act, 1945, Amendment Act (No. 2), 1947, the refer-

ence of the matter of prices to the Parliament of the Commonwealth referred to in this section shall be terminated and shall be deemed to have been terminated on the day on which the Milk Act, 1946 (No. 27 of 1946) was proclaimed to come into opera- tion, namely, the twentieth day of January, one thousand nine hundred and forty-seven, in so far as regards the matter of prices referred to in section twenty-six of that Act as amended by the Milk Act Amendment Act (No. 3), 1947, and all things done or purported to have been done under the provisions of that Act in the matter of prices are ratified.
