Commonwealth Motor Omnibus Services Regulations (ACT)
COMMONWEALTH MOTOR OMNIBUS SERVICES REGULATIONS*
(a) established for passengers travelling on journeys that consist, in whole or in part, of journeys between the Woden Interchange and City or
between City and the Woden Interchange; and
(b) the omnibuses engaged on which are marked, whether alone or in conjunction with other figures, with the figures ' 16',

1. These Regulations shall come into operation on the date fixed under sub- section (2.) of section 2 of the Commonwealth Motor Omnibus Services Ordinance 19704
2. Regulation 3 of the Commonwealth Motor Omnibus Services Regulations
is amended by adding at the end thereof the following sub-regulation:—
" (2.) In these Regulations, a reference to a stopping place on a Common-
wealth motor omnibus service—
shall, in relation to that part of the route taken by such an omnibus on such a
journey, be read as a reference only to—
(c)
the stopping places in Adelaide Avenue near its intersection with Hopetoun Circuit; and
(d)
the stopping places in Commonwealth Avenue near its junction with Kaye Street.".
3. Regulation 15 of the Commonwealth Motor Omnibus Services Regulations
is amended by adding at the end thereof the following sub-regulation:—
" (3.) This regulation does not apply to a passenger who is entitled to travel, on production of a monthly ticket, without payment of the fare otherwise applicable. ".
4. Regulation 16 of the Commonwealth Motor Omnibus Services Regulations
is amended—
(a) by inserting after sub-regulation (2.) the following sub-regulation:—
" (2A.) Where—
(a)
a person is entitled to travel, on production of a monthly ticket, without payment of the fare otherwise applicable;
(b)
a demand is made of that person under sub-regulation (1.) of this regulation; and
(c) the person produces for inspection his monthly ticket,
that person shall be deemed to have complied with the demand."; and
(b)
by omitting from sub-regulation (3.) the words " does not exhibit or deliver his ticket when so demanded " and inserting in their stead the words " does not, when a demand is made of him under sub- regulation (1.) of this regulation, exhibit or deliver the ticket issued to him for the journey for which he has paid or produce for inspection his monthly ticket, " .
5. Regulation 36 of the Commonwealth Motor Omnibus Services Regulations
is amended by omitting the words " fourteen years " (wherever occurring) and
inserting in their stead the words " fifteen years " .
