AN ACT to provide for the Observance of the Ninth day of May, 1951, as a Public Holiday to Commemorate the Jubilee of the Common- wealth.

RE it enacted by the King's Most Excellent B Majesty, by and with the advice and consent of the Legislative Council and the Legislative Assembly of Western Australia, in this present Parliament assembled, and by the authority of the same, as follows:—
1. This Act may be cited as the Commonwealth Short title.

Where any Act or regulation, or any award or industrial agreement for the time being in force under the provisions of the Industrial Arbitration Act, 1912-1949, provides for certain specified days or for a certain number of days to be observed or treated as public holidays, or empowers the Gov- ernor, by proclamation or otherwise, to proclaim, appoint or declare any day as a public holiday, such Act, regulation, award or industrial agreement shall be deemed to be amended so as to provide that the ninth day of May, 1951, shall be observed or treated as a public holiday in addition to any other public holidays therein specified, authorised or referred to. |
