Commonwealth Employees’ Rehabilitation and Compensation Regulations 2(Amendment)

I, The Governor-General of the Commonwealth of Australia, acting with the advice of the Federal Executive Council, make the following Regulations under the Safety, Rehabilitation and Compensation Act 1988.

1.   Amendment

1.1   The Commonwealth Employees’ Rehabilitation and Compensation Regulations are amended as set out in these Regulations.

[NOTE: These Regulations commence on gazettal: see Acts Interpretation Act 1901, s. 48.]

2.   Regulation 1 (Citation)

2.1   Omit “Commonwealth Employees’”, substitute “Safety,”.

3.   Regulation 2 (Interpretation)

3.1   Omit “Commonwealth Employees’”, substitute “Safety,”.

4.   New regulation 4

4.1   After regulation 3, add:

Prescribed persons for the purposes of paragraph 114A (2) (b) of the Act

“4.

For the purposes of paragraph 114A (2) (b) of the Act, the following persons are prescribed:

  • (a)

    in relation to members of the Defence Force—the Chief of the Defence Force;

  • (b)

    in relation to members of the Australian Federal Police—the Commissioner of the Australian Federal Police.”.
