PROCLAMATION

NEW SOUTH WALES

I, Rear Admiral PETER ROSS SINCLAIR, Governor of the State of New South Wales, with the advice of the Executive Council, and in pursuance of section 2 of the Commons Management Act 1989, do, by this my Proclamation, appoint 1 September 1991 as the day on which that Act (other than section 9 and clause 2 of Schedule 5) commences.

EXPLANATORY NOTE

The object of this Proclamation is to commence the main portions of the Commons Management Act 1989. Minor provisions concerning the names to be assigned to trusts that were established under the Commons Regulation Act 1898, and the powers of such trusts to make by-laws, commenced on the date of assent to the 1989 Act.
