1  Name of principle

This principle is the Committee Amendment (Aged Care Financing Authority) Principle 2013.

2  Commencement

This principle commences on the day after it is registered.

3  Authority

This principle is made under section 96‑1 of the Aged Care Act 1997.

4  Schedule(s)

Each instrument that is specified in a Schedule to this instrument is amended or repealed as set out in the applicable items in the Schedule concerned, and any other item in a Schedule to this instrument has effect according to its terms.

Schedule 1—Amendments

Committee Principles 2013

1  Section 10.4 (at the end of the definition of Aged Care Financing Authority member)

Add “or the Aged Care Pricing Commissioner”.

2  Section 10.8 (heading)

Repeal the heading, substitute:

10.8 Constitution

3  At the end of section 10.8

Add:

; (f)  the Aged Care Pricing Commissioner.

4  Section 10.8 (notes 1 and 2)

Repeal the notes, substitute:

Note:          The representatives mentioned in paragraphs (d) and (e) and the Aged Care Pricing Commissioner are not Aged Care Financing Authority members (see the definition of Aged Care Financing Authority member in section 10.4).

5  Subsection 10.11(1) (note)

Repeal the note.

6  Part 3

Repeal the Part.
