Commission for Children and Young People Amendment Regulation 2011

Her Excellency the Governor, with the advice of the Executive Council, has made the following Regulation under the Commission for Children and Young People Act 1998.

Explanatory note
The object of this Regulation is to prescribe a further period (ending on 1 January 2014) during which the Commissioner of Police may disclose information relating to the circumstances of an offence or an alleged offence to approved interstate screening agencies for the purposes of interstate child-related employment screening.

This Regulation is made under the Commission for Children and Young People Act 1998, including sections 38A and 51 (the general regulation-making power).

Amendment Regulation 2011.

2      Commencement

This Regulation commences on the day on which it is published on the
NSW legislation website.

3 Amendment of Commission for Children and Young People Regulation 2009

Clause 17

Insert after clause 16:

17      Notification of information relating to criminal history for interstate child-related employment

For the purposes of section 38A (4) (b) of the Act, the period ending on 1 January 2014 is prescribed.
