Her Excellency the Governor, with the advice of the Executive Council, has made the following Regulation under the Commercial Vessels Act 1979.

Explanatory note
The object of this Regulation is to amend the Commercial Vessels (Permits) Regulation 1986 (the Regulation) to update references to a placename used to identify smooth waters (within the meaning of the Regulation) in the areas of Port Jackson and Port Jackson to Middle Harbour. Green Point, to which the Regulation currently refers, is now known as Laings Point.

This Regulation is made under the Commercial Vessels Act 1979, including section 52 (the general regulation-making power).

1 Name of Regulation

This Regulation is the Commercial Vessels (Permits) Amendment
(Laings Point) Regulation 2007.

2 Amendment of Commercial Vessels (Permits) Regulation 1986

The Commercial Vessels (Permits) Regulation 1986 is amended by omitting the words “Green Point” wherever occurring in Part 1 of Schedule 1 and inserting instead “Laings Point”.
