COMMERCIAL VESSELS ACT 1979—REGULATION
(Relating to fees in connection with vessel permits)

HIS Excellency the Governor, with the advice of the Executive Council, and in pursuance of the Commercial Vessels Act 1979, has been pleased to approve the Regulation made by the Maritime Services Board of New South Wales and set forth hereunder.

1. This Regulation commences on 1 August 1992.
Amendment
2. The Commercial Vessels (Permits) Regulation 1986 is amended by
omitting items 1, 2 and 3 from Schedule 3 and by inserting instead the
following items:
1. Fees etc. in respect of application for a vessel permit and investigation of the application (section 17):
1992—No. 378
1.1 For a survey carried out in
connection with an application for a
permit (including examination, approval of plans, witnessing position of draught marks, witnessing of inclining test and except as provided by items 1.3, 1.4 and 1.5):
Class 1, 2 and 4 permit (vessel $83 per metre
7.5 metres in length and over) length
Class 1, 2 and 4 permit (vessel $41 per metre
less than 7.5 metres in length) length
Class 3 permit (vessel 15 metres $67 per metre
in length and over) length
Class 3 permit (vessel less than $26 per metre
15 metres in length) length
(NOTE: Where information is
required to be submitted more than once for examination in connection with approval of plans, the fee payable for each subsequent examination is $83 per hour or part of an hour to so examine and approve.)
1.2 For examination and approval of $83 per hour or
stability data

1.3 For a survey or inspection carried The fee or charge

machinery by a Classification witness and Society within the meaning of the approve Code—for a survey carried out in
connection with an application for a
permit including examination and
approval of plans or other matter
referred to in item 1.1 or 1.2
1.6 Where plans are submitted in $83 per hour or
connection with an application for part of an hour to
an additional class or for so examine and
modification to a vessel already the approve subject of a permit—examination

2. Fees etc. in respect of a survey carried out in accordance with a survey schedule or direction of the Board (section 30) (except as provided by item 1.5):

EXPLANATORY NOTE
The object of this Regulation is to amend the Commercial Vessels (Permits) Regulation 1986 to increase fees:
(a)
in respect of an application for a vessel permit and investigation of such an application; and
(b)
in respect of a survey of a vessel carried out in accordance with a survey schedule or direction of the Maritime Services Board; and
(c) in respect of the issue of a temporary permit for a vessel.
