COMMERCIAL VESSELS ACT 1979—REGULATION

(Relating to fees in connection with load lines)

HIS Excellency the Governor, with the advice of the Executive Council, and in pursuance of the Commercial Vessels Act 1979, has been pleased to approve the Regulation made by the Maritime Services Board of New South Wales and set forth hereunder.

The Maritime Services Board of New South Wales, in pursuance of the

Commercial Vessels Act 1979, hereby makes the following Regulation:

Commencement

1. This Regulation commences on 1 August 1992.

Amendment

2. The Commercial Vessels (Load Lines) Regulation 1986 is amended

by omitting items 1, 2, 3 and 4 from Schedule 2 and by inserting instead

the following items:

1. Initial survey and issue of load line certificate ..................... 191 2. Initial survey and issue of load line exemption certificate.... 191 3. Periodic survey ..................................................................... 191

4. Periodical inspection .............................................................. 62

EXPLANATORY NOTE

The object of this Regulation is to amend the Commercial Vessels (Load Lines)

Regulation 1986 to increase fees:

(a) for the initial survey and issue of load line certificates and
(b) for the initial survey and issue of load line exemption certificates and
(c) for the periodic survey of load lines; and
(d) for the periodic inspection of load lines.
