COMMERCIAL TRIBUNAL ACT 1984 - REGULATION
(Relating to the right to legal representation before the Tribunal)

HIS Excellency the Governor, with the advice of the Executive Council, and in pursuance of the Commercial Tribunal Act 1984, has been pleased to make the Regulation set forth hereunder.

Commencement
1. This Regulation takes effect on 27 April 1990.
Amendment
2. The Commercial Tribunal Regulation 1984 is amended by
inserting after clause 6 (b) the following subclause:
(2) Subclause (1) does not apply to appeals to the Tribunal
under section 31 of the Builders Licensing Act 1971.
EXPLANATORY NOTE
Under section 23 (1) (b) of the Commercial Tribunal Act 1984, a party to proceedings before the Tribunal may not, except by leave of the Tribunal, be legally represented at certain prescribed proceedings. The object of this Regulation is to exclude certain appeals from the proceedings prescribed for the purposes of section 23 (1) (b).
