REGULATIONS UNDER THE CUSTOMS ACT 1901-1935 AND THE COMMERCE (TRADE DESCRIPTIONS) ACT 1905-1933.*

I, THE GOVERNOR-GENERAL in and over the Commonwealth of Australia, acting with the advice of the Federal Executive Council, hereby make the following Regulations under the Customs Act 1901-1935 and the Commerce (Trade Descriptions) Act 1905-1933.

Amendments of the Commerce (Export Dairy Produce) Regulations. 

Preparation, inspection, and packing of eggs in shell.

1. Regulation 13 of the Commerce (Export Dairy Produce) Regulations is amended—

(a) by omitting from sub-paragraph (iii) of paragraph (e) the figures “1¾” and inserting in their stead the figures “1⅞”.

(b) by omitting sub-paragraph (iv) of paragraph (h) and inserting in its stead the following sub-paragraph:—

“(iv) Unless the Secretary in any particular case otherwise approves, a case containing 30 dozen eggs shall contain a middle division board of not less than half an inch in thickness, which shall be placed in the case with the grain of the timber running horizontally across the case.”.

First Schedule.

2. The First Schedule to the Commerce (Export Dairy Produce) Regulations is amended by omitting from the standard for “Eggs in Shell” the words “thirteen and one-quarter pounds” and inserting in their stead the words “thirteen and one-half pounds”.
