REGULATIONS UNDER THE CUSTOMS ACT 1901-1935 AND THE COMMERCE (TRADE DESCRIPTIONS) ACT 1905-1933.*
I,
THE GOVERNOR-GENERAL in and over the Commonwealth of Australia, acting with the
advice of the Federal Executive Council, hereby make the following Regulations
under the

Amendments of the Commerce (Export Dairy Produce) Regulations.
(
a ) by inserting in the definition of “Creamery butter”, after the words “dairy butter,”, the words “whey butter,”;(
b ) by inserting in the definition of “Dairy butter”, after the words “creamery butter,”, the words” whey butter,”; and(
c ) by inserting after the definition of “the Secretary” the following definitions :—“ ‘ Whey’ means the watery fluid of cows’ milk which is separated from the curd in the process of cheese manufacture;
“ ‘ Whey butter’ means butter manufactured wholly from milk fat centrifugally separated from whey;”.

a ) by inserting in sub-paragraph (i) of paragraph A of sub-regulation (a ), after the words “milled butter”, the words “and whey butter”;(
b ) by inserting in sub-paragraph (ii) of paragraph A of sub-regulation (a ), after the words “milled butter”, the words “ and whey butter” ;and(
c ) by inserting in paragraph B of sub-regulation (a ), after the words “Pure Creamery Butter,”, the words “Whey Butter,”.
“43a. Whey butter submitted for export shall be graded in accordance with the following standards:—
First grade—Pure butter graded at 89 to 91 points inclusive.
Second grade—Pure butter graded at 86 to 88 points inclusive.
Cooking grade—Pure butter graded at 80 to 85 points inclusive.”.
