Commencement Proclamation

under the

Better Regulation Legislation Amendment Act 2019 No 23

I, the Honourable Margaret Beazley AO QC, Governor of New South Wales, with the advice of the Executive Council, and in pursuance of section 2(2) of the Better Regulation Legislation

Amendment Act 2019, do, by this my Proclamation, appoint 23 March 2020 as the day on which

Schedule 1.8[3] and [4] to that Act commence.

Explanatory note

The object of this Proclamation is to commence provisions that amend the Property, Stock and Business

Agents Act 2002 to make it a condition of all licences and certificates of registration under that Act that the

holder complies with continuing professional development requirements and to enable regulations under
that Act to prescribe additional requirements relating to trust accounts.
