Commencement Proclamation

under the

Children (Education and Care Services) Supplementary Provisions

Amendment Act 2018 No 46

I, The Honourable Margaret Beazley AO QC, Governor of New South Wales, with the advice of the Executive Council, and in pursuance of section 2 (1) of the Children (Education and Care

Services) Supplementary Provisions Amendment Act 2018, do, by this my Proclamation, appoint:

(a)	27 May 2019 as the day on which the uncommenced provisions of Schedule 1, Schedule 2.1 [1] (to the extent that it omits the definition of certified supervisor) and [3] and Schedule 2.2 [2] to that Act commence, and
(b)	31 October 2019 as the day on which the uncommenced provisions of that Act commence.

Explanatory note

The object of this Proclamation is to commence the uncommenced provisions of the Children (Education

and Care Services) Supplementary Provisions Amendment Act 2018. The commencement on 31 October

2019 of certain amendments enables home based education and care services to continue to operate on a
transitional basis until that date.
