Commencement Proclamation

under the

Residential Tenancies Amendment (Review) Act 2018 No 58

DAVID HURLEY, Governor

I, General The Honourable David Hurley AC DSC (Ret’d), Governor of New South Wales, with the advice of the Executive Council, and in pursuance of section 2 of the Residential Tenancies

Amendment (Review) Act 2018, do, by this my Proclamation, appoint 28 February 2019 as the day

on which the following provisions commence:

(a) Schedule 1 [1], to the extent that it inserts the definition of domestic violence offence,
(b) Schedule 1 [11], [33], [37] and [38].

Explanatory note
The object of this Proclamation is to commence the provisions of the Residential Tenancies Amendment
(Review) Act 2018 that relate to the termination of a residential tenancy agreement in circumstances of
domestic violence.
